Choosing the right vehicle for your transfer

The most common booking mistake is counting seats and forgetting suitcases. Here is how to get it right first time.

Seat count is only half the decision. A 6-seat MPV with six passengers has very little boot space left. This is the guidance our drivers use.

A quick sizing guide

Use passengers and large cases together, not seats alone.

  • Saloon: up to 3 passengers with 2 large cases
  • Estate: up to 4 passengers with 3–4 large cases
  • 6-seat MPV: 5 passengers with 5 cases, or 6 with hand luggage
  • 8-seat MPV: 7 passengers with 7 cases, or 8 with light luggage
  • Tesla / premium electric: up to 3 passengers with 2 cases, quiet and comfortable for long motorway runs

Long journeys change the answer

For a 20-minute EMA run a full saloon is fine. For three hours to Heathrow or four to Dover, moving one size up makes a real difference to comfort — and it usually costs less than you would expect.

Child seats, wheelchairs and sports gear

Tell us about child seats, folding wheelchairs, golf clubs, skis or musical instruments when you book. These change the vehicle choice, and we would rather send the right car than arrive with one that is too small.
