These are typical door-to-terminal times allowing for normal traffic, not best-case motorway runs.

- Tilbury: about 155 miles, 2 hr 45–3 hr 15

Check-in windows matter more than sailing time
Cruise lines allocate a boarding window, often two to three hours before departure, and terminals turn away early arrivals. We plan to your allocated window, not the sailing time, and we build in an M25 or M62 buffer where the route needs one.

Luggage planning
Cruise luggage is larger than airline luggage. As a rule of thumb, two passengers with full cruise cases are comfortable in an estate, four passengers need a 6-seat MPV, and a party of six should book the 8-seat MPV so the boot is not overloaded.
